I wanted to share some facts about me! in today’s blog post. Maybe this should’ve been the first post on this blog, but better late than never. I always loved the “about me” pages I did in elementary school, so this will follow that format. Enjoy!

BANNERS released “Anywhere For You” in November 2023 and it’s been one of my favorites since then. He starts the song with “now that we’re both standing here in this moment, it’s like there’s no one else here, you’re in focus” along with gentle piano playing.

The instrumentals are beautiful, and who wouldn’t love a song that says “I’d go anywhere for you, if the waves are trying to take you under, well they’re gonna have to take me too”? My favorite part is after the instrumental and crescendo in which he sings “to a place that’s far from where we started, love I promise we’ll always pull through.”

I first saw Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters with my mom and we loved it! Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is one of my faves. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter’s identity as Spider-Man is compromised and he finds Dr. Strange to help him. I absolutely loved seeing all the Spider-Mans uniting together to help Peter.

Bill & Ted Excellent Adventure is my number one go-to! I first watched it in my 8th grade history class, and I think i’ve seen it about thirty times. In the movie, Bill & Ted are two best friends failing their history class, who must get an A+ on their presentation or Bill is sent off to military school. Bill & Ted have their own rock band and want to be famous so Bill being sent to Alaska would definitely halt their plans. To get an A+, they use a time machine to go to different moments in history, and kidnap the leaders for their presentation. The leaders include Abraham Lincoln, Socrates, Napoleon and more. Bill & Ted are really cute and air-headed, and the movie has always made me laugh because they’re silly.

I first saw WICKED in theaters with my mom the day after Thanksgiving in 2024. I immediately loved it and listened to the soundtrack on repeat afterwards. Elphie is my GIRL! I love that they cast Cynthia Erivo as Elphie and that she was Black. It added a whole layer to the story and I love her!

I also saw James Gunn’s Superman (2025) with my mom and it was absolutely perfect. That’s my Superman! The movie was beautifully made and Superman was so heroic. He always strived to prevent collateral damage when fighting the villains. His main goal was “making the world a better place.” I also absolutely loved Mr.Terrific and he needs his own movie ASAP!

I love fall and winter! California doesn’t a real fall or winter, so it’s summer weather all year around (unfortunately). When I lived in Flagstaff, I experienced real winter and snowstorms which was so much fun! I prefer being cold & layering over being warm and sweating.

Sleeping with Sirens released How It Feels To Be Lost in 2019 and it truly captures what it feels like to be lost with anxiety. The title track “How It Feels to Be Lost” features lyrics “life is walking on a tight rope with nothing but a blindfold, it’s a long way down” and “for every step that I take, I take two steps back.” My favorites in the album include the album opener “Leave It All Behind,” “P.S. Missing You,” and “Ghost.

BANNERS released Where The Shadow Ends in 2019, and it’s one of my absolute favorites. The album title comes from his song “Where The Shadow Ends” where he sings “there is darkness up ahead, but I’ll see you where the shadow ends.” It’s a comforting album because he sings “put your trust in the light that you cannot see” which is something I always try to do. My favorites in the album include “Supercollide,” “Too Soon” and “Heads and Tails”

Avenged Sevenfold released Nightmare in 2010, and it’s another one of my longtime favorites. My favorites are “So Far Away” which I’ve heard live and “Buried Alive,” “Natural Born Killer,” and “Save Me.” Bring Me The Horizon released That’s The Spirit in 2015 and it’s another album I’ve loved in its entirety. It’s about celebrating and facing the darkness in your own thoughts. Favorites include “Doomed,” “Avalanche” and “What You Need.”

Imagine Dragons released Night Visions in 2012, and it was one of the very first albums I really loved in entirety. Everyone knows “Radioactive,” but the real heart breakers are “Amsterdam,” “Hear Me,” and “Nothing Left To Say.”

NCT 127 released Sticker in 2021 and it’s an album I wish I could’ve heard live. Favorites include “Lemonade,” “Focus” and “Bring The Noize”

Nutty Pumpkin from DUNKIN is so wonderful! It’s iced coffee with pumpkin flavoring, and hazelnut syrup. I think the first time I had it was in 2021 and I look forward to it every fall season. Matchata from Boba Time is another long time favorite because I always go to Boba Time with my sister and my mom. I recently had the Sea Salt Matcha from 85 degrees and it was out of this world good! It was perfectly salty and sweet, and I’m already looking forward to when I can go to 85 degrees again.
